Every workshop has at least one participant who starts with this line. More often than not, it’s a man. He stays quiet at the beginning, convinced he’ll “mess it up.” And you know what? These are often the most original, surprising, and talented artists in the room. When someone says this, I smile, because I know that their “mistakes” will turn into something unforgettable.
At first, the brush moves with hesitation. He follows the first lines. Then, the next one and something clicks. The lines get bolder, colors start to breathe, and suddenly… the canvas speaks louder than words.
“I never thought I could do this.”
I always tell the participants: don’t stop here. That spark — that odd angle, that unexpected mix of colors — is exactly where real art begins. Because pretty landscapes are nice… but the works that move people are never perfect. They’re alive.
So, if your team is always in front of the screens and thinks that they “can’t draw a straight line,” don’t worry — I even have a special session just for these guys. We’ll start with stick figures, simple outlines, and gradually, together, we’ll create something uniquely yours. Some of the most iconic artists — think Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Klee, Keith Haring — started with simple lines and shapes, and their work became legendary!
✨ There’s nothing quite like witnessing colleagues discover their own creative voice at the painting event — right in the moment they thought they didn’t have one.
