Acrylic Painting for beginner and continuing adult students
Join me, professional artist Ania Salmina, for an acrylic painting course! You’ll learn essential techniques, explore the versatility of acrylics, and build confidence in your painting skills. As we create artwork, I’ll guide you through key topics such as composition, light and shadow, colour theory, and more. We’ll begin with simple still lifes and gradually explore more complex subjects.
These classes are built on my 20 years of artistic experience and designed with a strong educational focus. Check my portfolio.

During this acrylic painting class for adults, we focus on the foundations that help beginners develop confidence and artistic understanding.
You will learn how to:
• Master essential acrylic painting techniques
• Understand composition and visual balance
• Work with light and shadow in painting
• Explore colour theory and colour mixing
• Develop confidence in your artistic decisions
• Build paintings step by step from simple to complex subjects
Throughout the course, students will work on several paintings. Depending on the complexity of the subject, a single painting may take one to three classes to complete. You'll feel comfortable and supported during the process. Each student receives guidance and assignments adapted to their individual level, making the class suitable for both beginner and continuing painting students. We start with simple still life subjects to build confidence with acrylic painting techniques, and gradually move toward more complex compositions as students develop their skills and artistic understanding.
Classes are organized in 6–7 lesson blocks, with each block focusing on a specific topic in the painting process. Book 2-3 class packs in advance, so you don't miss the next topic, as all of them are highly important and cover different aspects of painting.
My 20+ years of experience in a wide range of visual arts; all necessary art supplies; the professional studio set up; theory explanation and demonstrations; curated learning exercises or references for each lesson; and personal consultations during your creation process.
