Each participant will receive a canvas, a set of brushes, acrylic paints, and a palette. You'll take the canvas you painted home. Easels and other art supplies will be set up to ensure you're comfortable while working. We're painting in a beautiful cafe in a nice artistic setup.
I also give you printing materials for most of the painting events, so it is easier for you to follow guidelines.
I am a Vancouver-based artist and educator. Most of the time I spend painting in my Lougheed Studio or preparing for the next exhibition.
With over two years of experience teaching beginners to start drawing, I’m confident you'll create a wonderful art piece with me!
The evening begins with a brief introduction to the theme or style of the night’s painting. I’ll share tips, techniques, and a bit of inspiration from famous artists to get your creativity flowing. Feel free to grab a drink!
Designed to make learning easy and accessible for anyone just starting out. I will guide you through the process of creating your artwork, from sketching basic shapes to layering colors and textures. You’ll learn techniques such as blending, shading, and highlighting to bring your canvas to life.
While guidance is provided, there’s plenty of room for creative freedom. Adjust colors, add details, or personalize your painting to match your unique style. This night is all about having fun and expressing yourself in a supportive atmosphere.
Once the painting is complete, we’ll take a moment to review the final touches. You'll leave with a finished canvas that you can proudly display at home, along with new artistic skills!
