We're painting in a beautiful cafe in a nice artistic setup. Each participant will receive a canvas, a set of brushes, acrylic paints, and a palette. All materials are provided, so just bring yourself! Easels or tables will be set up to ensure you're comfortable while working.
About the art instructor:
I am a Vancouver-based artist and educator. Most of the time I spend painting in my Lougheed Studio or preparing for the next exhibition.
With over two years of experience teaching beginners to start drawing, I’m confident you'll create a wonderful art piece with me!
What to expect on the canvas painting nights with Ania Salmina:
Introduction & Inspiration
The evening begins with a brief introduction to the theme or style of the night’s painting. I’ll share tips, techniques, and a bit of inspiration from famous artists to get your creativity flowing. Feel free to grab a drink!
Step-by-Step Guidance
Designed to make learning easy and accessible for anyone just starting out. I will guide you through the process of creating your artwork, from sketching basic shapes to layering colors and textures. You’ll learn techniques such as blending, shading, and highlighting to bring your canvas to life.
Creative Freedom
While guidance is provided, there’s plenty of room for creative freedom. Adjust colors, add details, or personalize your painting to match your unique style. This night is all about having fun and expressing yourself in a supportive atmosphere.
Final Touches & Display
Once the painting is complete, we’ll take a moment to review the final touches. You'll leave with a finished canvas that you can proudly display at home, along with new artistic skills!
You’re welcome to stay for a little longer and wait till the paints get dry.
